your sport fishing guide to the Victoria Nile, Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda

The River Nile below Murchison Falls in Uganda is one of the most inspiring, challenging and captivating stretches of water an angler will ever cast his line into…

Murchison Falls is a world-renowned fishing destination and yet relatively little information has been recorded about past catches, fish species and the best fishing methods to use.

This website is aimed at helping sports fishermen learn about, and hopefully experience, this most unique and rewarding location.

"The Greek's rod bending"

Much of the information provided here has been compiled through many hours of fishing and knowledge gathered from experienced fishermen living and working in Uganda. This site does pretend to have anywhere near all of the answers as nobody ever will. In an effort to understand the fishing mysteries of the Nile, we welcome any anecdotes, photos, advice and experiences that readers can offer.

Please enjoy the site. Good Fishing!

In memoriam

It is with great sadness that on November 8th 2005 Steve Willis the author of Fishing Murchison was tragically killed in the north of Uganda. Steve will be missed dearly by his friends and fellow fisherman.
